Steinicke Haus der Hochlandgewürze
Idea and History
An idea that changed the world. Great-grandfather Johannes Steinicke wanted to conserve carrots for animal food. His invention of the first oven to dry vegetables was the key stone to our facilities. Since worldwar II, the family Steinicke fled from Bismark to Bavaria. The granddaughter of the founder “Sibylle Lettenbichler” was sent in search of a better location. This location is now the company site in Luechow. In 2016, Steinicke acquired the Hayna site for air-drying, cultivation and milling.
